Back by popular demand, this is your chance to hear the exciting Royal NZ Navy Dixie Band perform popular Dixieland tunes such as Chicago, St James Infirmary, Wolverine Blues and many more. So come along for a great night of music that will have you tapping! All welcome.

The band of the Royal New Zealand Navy was formed in the early 1960s. When not on parade ground or supporting official ceremonies, they support local charities and communities with concerts and other performances. The Dixie Band is a recent addition to the Royal NZ Navy Band, and has enjoyed reviving one of the earliest recorded jazz styles with an eclectic mix of musicians who play trumpet, clarinet, banjo, saxophone, trombone, tuba and drums.
