Arts On Tour NZ present Penny Ashton’s 'Hot Pink Bits'.

Following sold out houses and sparkling reviews in the UK, Australia, USA and Canada, Penny Ashton is back touring the country with her award winning comedy show trawling the ins and outs of the international sex industry.

Resplendent in a hot pink corset and strung up in fishnets, Ashton sings, dances and pontificates on pornography, prostitutes and politicians in a burlesque romp through the global sex trade – its history from the 5th century through to some of the odder elements of the present. Kicks are high and fetishes are favoured, but it is all in the best possible taste.

Hot Pink Bits has been described as informative as it is funny. Ashton has thoroughly researched her subject matter – and tells us that a Google search for sex sites gives 633 million hits – 147 times the number concerned with world peace!

Tickets are available from Grant at the Opotiki Travel Shop.

“Another chance for an award for this one.” Adelaide Advertiser
“This show is hot, horny and hilarious. It is the funniest show this reviewer has seen so far in the Fringe. It will be very hard to top.” Adelaide Theatre Guide

New Zealand’s own global comedienne Penny Ashton has been making a splash on the world stage since 2002, with five Best NZ Female Comedienne nominations, three Adelaide Fringe People’s Choice nominations and one Honourable Mention from The Wellington Fringe Festival Awards. One day she hopes to win something.
