Artbay Gallery in Queenstown invite you to view 'Heavenly Bodies' an exhibition of work by acclaimed New Zealand artist Shaun Burdon.

Shaun Burdon requires little introduction; his artwork is held in Te Papa museum. For art lovers, his name is celebrated in artistic corners throughout New Zealand, as an Artist, Art Teacher, and educator. His work is vibrant, colourful, and varied.

The colour work is rich and vibrant, and the subject of his paintings is always thought provoking.
The work in this exhibition continues Shaun’s exploration of the human figure as a medium for expressing universal aspects of the human condition.

“Starting from a collection of shop mannequins and things found round the countryside, I have assembled them in various ways, combining my fascination with the antique, the primitive, drawing and applying paint.”

Artbay Gallery, is privileged to be hosting such a prestigious art exhibition. The exhibition opens to the public on May 7th, and runs until Wednesday 20th May.
