Art work by a number of prominent local and national artists will be on display at the Riverton Arts Centre from Saturday 1 May - 30 May and up for Auction on Sunday 30 May at 2pm.

This biannual exhibition and auction is a major fundraiser for the Art Centre and this year we have sent out over 100 canvases to artists asking them to explore a 'Contemporary Riverton/NZ' theme. The diverse range of interpretations, techniques, colours and mediums employed by the Artists is, well, breathtaking.

From the exemplary hues of Graham Brinsley's sky in 'Southland Coast' to the Post Modern Neo-Expressionism of Lee Petterson's 'Heart and Soul', there is definitely something in this exhibition for everyone.

Other contributing Artists include: Deidre Copeland, John Husband, Pat Murdoch, Pat Hall, Maurice Middleditch, Phil Newbury, Dawn Barry, Susie Ruddenklau, Karen Scott, Patricia Payne, Inge Doesburg, Margaret McKenzie, Mags Meechang, Angela Meecham, Rachel Hirabayashi, Tony Tarasiewicz, Chris Flavell and of course, the Prime Ministerial sketch from John Key, plus many more.

The works are on exhibit until 2pm, Sunday 30 May where they will be auctioned. Anyone can come in and bid for a piece while the exhibition is on and telephone bids will be taken on auction day.
