Adagio takes circus out of the tent and into the theatre, fusing music, dance, comedy, illusion and cool fluid jazz not to mention death-defying acrobatics.

The New Zealand live circus, exploring the isolation of individuals and the funny and poignant moments when they connect, will capture your imagination and hearts.

Featuring an ensemble of highly skilled physical performers, Adagio is written and directed by multi-award-winning director Deborah Pope, with an exquisite musical score by and featuring live jazz from Jonathan CrayfordJeff Henderson and Rosie Langabeer.

Adagio at ERUPT is pleased to host a special circus workshop for kids who are invited to meet the performers and try out their circus skills with a hands-on workshop.

“…a beautifully crafted hour of existential physical theatre, using circus and other performance skills to explore the human condition with an entertaining blend of poignancy, wit, spectacle and danger.” Theatreview

“What a circus, what a show. Not only is Adagio seriously sophisticated, it is also seriously enjoyable, thoroughly entertaining and a damn good night at the theatre.
