The success of the expo with large numbers of visitors delighting in the natural healing modalities, eco-friendly products, handmade soy candles, soaps and skin care, along with herbal remedies and therapeutic essential oils, astrologists and the psychic arts on display. These products will be available again for you to try with friendly, knowledgeable staff on hand to assist you. There will be the opportunity to experience a relaxing massage, healing therapies and find an inspirational book or crystal with music to aid relaxation and ease tensions.

We often have members of the public tell us they have always wanted to try a natural healing therapy or something in the psychic line but have been really unsure about approaching someone in a private situation, and being able to come along to the “Healthy Body & Soul Expo” has allowed them to view all these things safely and comfortably without feeling any pressure.

Taranaki husband and wife team Kevin and Glen Beard have gathered together proven experts in all things healthy for the body and soul, who will offer their many insights and experience to those seeking comfort and compassion or direction and affirmation of those past and present along with the many natural healing options.

If you simply want to relax come along and enjoy the Free Talks and Demonstrations, which are there for you to seek further information, expand your knowledge and explore the world of a healthy body and soul. In between there will be a café available.

For thousands of years, many have strived to find perfection by the combining of the spirit and holistic disciplines. Hypocrates was quoted as saying, "To heal the body, we must also include the mind and spirit". This is even truer today than at the time it was said.

There are many talented people who have cultivated their natural abilities within their trained professions who use their 'gut' feelings as a guide to meeting their clients' needs, yet only a few hundred years ago 'intuitives' were dunked in the village pond or banished into the woods where they built up a wide knowledge of the healing properties of berries and plants. They were most often consulted by villagers for all manner of healing advice, but have only recently been able to earn an honest living since the repeal of the Witchcraft Act in the 1950s.
