The Bayonets are a rising four-piece band based in Auckland whose performance credits include Telecom Movies in the Park; TV1’s Good Morning show; KiwiFM; Balcony TV and Farmstock 2009. The group made it into the top 20 of the inaugural nationwide MTV 42 Unheard Competition, and released their debut EP ‘King, Country and Title’ to a packed house earlier this year.

School of Music students Phil Austen, Martin Paris and Paul Robertson formed the group in mid 2008 during their first year of study in the Bachelor of Music degree. All three are soon to graduate from the Popular Music Programme.
