Four Rotorua artists combine to open their studios in Rotorua:

Miriam Ruberl, 308 Sunset Rd, Westbrook;
Robin Harland 12 Joanne Place, Pleasant Heights;
Pamela Lines, 36 Wylie Street, Glenholme
Judith Prictor 1 Rika Place, Kawaha Point;

This is an eclectic collection of original art by four well known artists and an opportunity to enter 'their world' through their open studio door exhibition.

A one day opportunity to view Miriam Ruberl's current work. As usual it’s in a variety of media, in various combinations on canvasses, notably acrylics, oils, inks, Chinese papers, waxes, shellac and local clays, reflecting a consuming interest in experimentation with materials. Much of it is inspired by our every day lives, and an interest in recycling and using everyday materials in new ways. Each piece invites you the viewer to find references from your own experience and ideas reflected in them. Parking down the drive. A warm welcome with light refreshments awaits you!

Works for sale by Judy Prictor include watercolours, cards, spinning, weaving and felting, and you can visit her beautiful garden.

Robin Harland offers paintings in acrylic, ink drawing, and ink wash, as well as signed limited edition greeting cards. Her landscapes depict scenes from travels around the country, camping with Paddy on road sides and hidey holes wherever fancy took them or where there was something of interest to look at. As a break away from the tradition of landscape, acrylics then took on a life of their own, and colour became the focus of her work. This led to experiments with ink washes, with some rather startling results. Reared on a farm in the Manawatu, the countryside is what appeals most in painting, and is also reflected in the creation of her garden. Welcome to visit and browse.

Pam Lines paints exquisite landscapes in acrylics and watercolours.
