Reflections on Democracy and how fragile it is. Who is really pulling the strings and making the decisions? Presentation by Sue Kedgley, MA (Hons) in Political Science, Green Party MP.

Sue’s portfolios include Natural Health, Safe Food, Aged Care, and Animal Welfare, with experience in chairing Parliament’s Health Select Committee, a Wellington City Councillor, a TV reporter/director/producer, United Nation’s Secretariat, promoting women’s issues and organising international conferences. Sue was involved in setting up the women’s liberation movement in the seventies.

She has been a safe food campaigner for many years and is the author or co-author of seven books, the most recent one entitled ‘Eating Safely in a Toxic World’. In 2010 Sue instigated the Aged Care tour with Winnie Laban and published the subsequent report on the state of Aged Care in New Zealand.
