The La De Da Festival makes a stellar return this New Year’s Eve, bringing together some of New Zealand’s finest as well as the introduction of world-class international acts. Party-goers will once again make the pilgrimage to the beautiful vineyard surroundings of Martinborough, just one hour’s drive from Wellington, where they will they will be treated to a line-up second to none.

Going bigger and better with two stages this year, La De Da combines a chilled winery vibe during the day with a non-stop party atmosphere by night across a Mainstage (dub & roots) and Electronic stage (dubstep and drum & bass), to bring you the best of both worlds.

Keeping things chilled on the Mainstage will be local legends Fat Freddy’s Drop, American surf-rocker Donavon Frankenreiter, urban roots band Blue King Brown (Aus) reggae masters Katchafire, the ever-popular Sola Rosa (NZ) and the soulful Iva Lamkum (NZ); while hot favourites Six60 and Kora will ramp things up in the evening. Just announced is Australian beatboxing world sensation Dub Fx (Aus) who is sure to be a crowd favourite.

Over on the electronic stage, drum 'n’ bass and dubstep masters SKisM (Never Say Die, UK), Dodge & Fuski (Never Say Die, UK), and Eddie K (HENCH, UK) will join Kiwi counterparts State of Mind, Concord Dawn and The Upbeats w/ MC LowQui to up the ante on the line up.

Festival Co-Director, Josh Mossman, says La De Da has built on the success of last year to bring Kiwis a New Year’s atmosphere like no other.

“The first La De Da went off with a bang, but this year we want to blow people’s expectations away, and treat them to a bigger and better party to ensure their New Year’s Eve experience is nothing short of epic!”

La De Da boasts a larger scale production this year with more space, more stages and more acts, so has moved to the new location of Dry River Road in Martinborough to accommodate for the higher quality festival.

Based on the success of the Lullaby Lane Official Campground at the last La De Da, festival organisers have also ramped up Lullaby Lane with better facilities, larger capacity and carparking fully onsite to enable ticket holders to live and breathe the La De Da experience over 2 nights and 3 days. Coming later in 2011 will be the Lullaby Lane line-up for December 30.

Also set over two massive stages, and featuring more international names, this addition to La De Da marks the start of the foray into a multi day/multi night music festival.
