Exercising during pregnancy will help to strengthen your back to reduce or eliminate back pain from carrying, help with the birth by opening the hips and groin and also increase circulation of blood around the body. These classes are designed to help with pregnancy and birth, and help to keep you safe from some poses taught in regular classes.

Recommended after the end of the first trimester for all levels from beginners to experienced women. Please bring a mat and blanket.

Jennifer Allen:
Jennifer Allen has been a wellness educator for the past 10 years. Her journey began in New York City, where she was a professional dancer and dance teacher. After suffering a severe spinal injury while dancing, Jennifer began teaching classical Pilates, after using Pilates for her own personal rehabilitation. It was through her Pilates teaching that she began to develop a love for yoga and spent the remainder of her time in New York studying and gaining teaching certification in yoga.

She has now relocated to Auckland, her husband’s home, to soak up some New Zealand culture and plant some more permanent roots. She completed her Level 2 Senior Hatha Yoga Certification, as well as her Pre/Post Natal Yoga Certification in Byron Bay, Australia. Jennifer did yoga through her pregnancy and birth of her first child, and continues to practice yoga daily with her beautiful 1 year old daughter, Matilda.
