Keynote speaker: Emma Hill

Emma Hill is slowly but surely following in her father’s rather large footsteps. Emma is now back in New Zealand after living in Canada for a number of years and setting up a chain of Michael Hill jewellery stores there, Her role is to expand the Michael Hill stores worldwide. During Emma’s four years in Canada she opened 16 new stores, and there are more on the way.

Born and raised in Whangarei, By 13 she was working in the store on Saturday mornings learning the fundamentals of selling.

After several years of hard work she graduated from university with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. After a year-long OE, Emma joined the family firm. Five years on, she decided to take a year off to do an MBA – where she graduated at the top of the class. Meeting students from other walks of life and backgrounds opened her mind and expanded her thinking, she says.

Michael Hill Jewellers has 190 stores in New Zealand, Australia and Canada. The vision is to have 1000 stores by 2022. Emma is determined to make that happen.

The agenda is as follows:

- 1pm - 1.30pm: Registrations, informal networking mix 'n' mingle - wine and nibbles are provided
- 1.15pm: Registrations close
- 1.30 - 1.45pm: Welcome from HER Business and opening speaker
- 1.45 - 2.20pm: Introduction to the keynote speaker
- 2.20 - 2.30pm: Questions and close of the meeting .

You have two payment options available: credit card or via online banking. Prepayment is required before all HER Business events.

Only once the payment has been received, your registration will be confirmed. We are unable to issue a refund if under 3 business days before the event. You would need to advise us in writing, 3 business days prior to the event if you wish to cancel your registration and receive a refund, if paid. After this, we would have committed to catering plus other expenses. No transfers to the next meeting. Substitutes allowed. See our terms and conditions.

Registrations will close two days prior to the event with payment required, on the last day of registrations, or until sold out.
