This course focuses on animation using Flash and throughout the duration you will be introduced to the software, its interface, tools, functions and capabilities. Flash can be used to create character, effects and text animation for use on television, websites, and games or just to create fun moving cards for friends. The workshop covers:

- Introduction to a growing industry;
- The Flash interface;
- Flash tools;
- Importing images into Flash;
- Drawing using Flash;
- The Timeline, Library, Properties and Color Windows;
- How to create and use Symbols effectively;
- Building Animation;
- Exporting Flash movies;
- How to make money using Flash.

Level: Basic computer literacy is important when doing this course. It would also be advantageous (but not necessary) if you have some previous experience with Adobe Photoshop.

Tutor: Greg Chapman joined the animation industry in 1997. His extensive project history as an animator includes television shows for Disney, Warner Bros and Nelvarna. He has also worked on feature film projects, music videos, website and television commercials.
