The Sounds of Summer Kumara Tour proudly presents the Legendary Dragon and Herbs. For the first time these two heavyweight icons in Kiwi music are joining forces to deliver an unforgettable experience that may never be repeated. And how appropriate that one of New Zealand's most up and coming acts "localize" are there to open proceedings for them at this Event.

After a year of non stop NZ Tours Dragon are back in Kumara Country. Fronted by Dargaville's own NZ legendary vocalist Mark Williams; Dragon will perform their greatest hits such "April Sun In Cuba", "Are You Old Enough", "Rain", "Young Years" and many more. Mark Williams has made these songs his own and makes you feel part of the timeless anthems that have been sung over years by millions of people. You are invited to come and join the song at the Turiwiri Packing Shed just 10km south of Dargaville on SH 12 on the 28th of January 2011. Dragon will also perform fresh material from their new album "Happy I Am". In the many high points of a Dragon show. Watch out for the drum solo in Ozambezi. The acapella version of Mark Williams hit "Show No Mercy" The DRAGON version of "Age of Reason" that Todd Hunter wrote for John Farnham and much more. You won't want to miss this night of special timeless music.

Herbs are New Zealand's iconic reggae vocal group. They formed in 1979 and have been described as "New Zealand's most soulful, heartfelt and consistent contemporary musical voice". It has been said their debut EP Whats' Be Happen? "set a standard for Pacific reggae which has arguably never been surpassed". Herbs will be playing their classic hits such as "Long Ago" and "Nuclear Waste" among many, that will surely bring an amazing dimension to the night.

Localize.
Who better to open up for two of New Zealand's most iconic bands than Localize. Localize is a 6 piece all original Roots Rock Reggae group based in the small town of Maungaturoto. Localize have a completely original sound in tune and line with the evolution of the latest in Aoteroa roots/rock/reggae music. "Music Nation" is already fast becoming a true reflexion of the celebration of this genre so widely loved in God's own.
