Hannah Howes has been a highlight at many major NZ festivals since 2000, has toured Aotearoa a dozen times, celebrated three independently released albums and completed a series of sold-out shows in Japan, securing a recording deal with Tokyo based label ‘Apple Paint Factory’.

Hannah's Bnet status skyrocketed in 2005 when she performed the festival circuit with Ecophonik as ‘Sista Mischief’ and released her debut album ‘Patchwork Quilt’ engineered by two leading roots and dub musicians, Matt Eddy (Zuvuya) and Warren Maxwell (Trinity Roots). Reviews of her follow-up album ‘Live at Bodega’ labelled her the inventor of a new style of music: ‘folk-dub’. Hannah’s 'compelling' voice finds solace in a variety of styles: indie, reggae, dub, folk and soul melding to socially conscious lyrics. Her latest album ‘Candy’ features fourteen of New Zealand's most sought after musicians from the alt country, hiphop, reggae and roots arenas and received rave reviews, with radio NZ National’s Manu Taylor stating ‘‘Brilliant… She’s genius.”

Hannah will be touring Nelson/Marlborough’s boutique venues in late January for the last time in 2011 with multi-instrumentalist and Hikoikoi drummer, Ben Wood (simultaneously playing keys, drums and backing vocals) before heading on tour in Japan, South East Asia and Europe. Hannah will then base herself in Europe to write her next album.

Don't miss this opportunity to see Hannah play live with dozens of amazing local acts and national favourites. Also fine organic food and theatre served.
