A photographic exhibition by Andrzej Nowakowski and others shows daily life in the Polish hermitage. The viewer is transferred to the specific world of values and rules of the Camaldolese spiritual life.

Screening of "Into Great Silence" on June 8th and 9th 2011 at 2pm will compliment the images... Stay for minutes or view all the seasons filmed in natural light. The seasonal cycle of the Carthusian monks, filled with prayer study and silence. There is no narration, no score except the sounds of days and seasons.

Today photography is one of the mediums that allow us ordinary mortals, to experience the sacred space and the mystery of religious vocation. Thanks to images fixed on a film or in digital form, we can participate in the religious life and the mystery of unconditional sacrifice to God.
