Bupa Care Services is a leading international healthcare company. Established in New Zealand in 1991, Bupa has three aged care businesses; rest homes and hospitals; retirement villages and personal medical alarms, looking after more then 17,000 New Zealanders. The new David Lange Care Home situated on James Street in Mangere East, where our goal is to create a place where each resident lives the best life possible, supported physically, emotionally, and socially to be as independent as they wish to be.

As part of the Bupa group we are taking part in a Global Challenge called "Shall We Dance", which will see thousands of Bupa employees from around the world joining together with local communities in June to encourage more people to get moving, promoting healthy mind and healthy body and encouraging behavioural change preventing ill health, with a particular focus on active lifestyles tailored to older people.

The David Lange Care Home has been going through some very extensive environmental changes and will not be completed in time for us to hold anything at the actual facility. So we have decided to take our challenge to the people of Mangere. On the 16th June from 9 am till Noon, we as a group will be in the Mangere Town centre promoting the "Shall We Dance" concept. We have local school children involved and also the amazing talents of MC Casey who will be getting all involved with dance. Age is no barrier! The Samoa Observer News will be in attendance and will record the efforts of all for their paper.

So come along, get involved or just watch the antics!
