Come view the works of Mapua artists - including ceramics, art glass, broken-tile mosaics, sculpture, fibre arts, floral arrangements, and paintings in pastels, oil, and acrylics. Plus demonstrations and workshops at artists' studios.

Start at the historic Mapua Hall on Aranui Road where the works of dozens of artists will be on display. Then pick up your map and continue on the Art Trail through the entire village - including the popular Wharf. Highlights of the Trail include:

Oamaru stone carving workshop -
The artist will be on hand to guide you through the process of turning rough stone into a work of art. All tools provided, you pay according to the size of stone you select.

Ceramics demonstration -
See clay transformed into works of art.

Garden art -
See how discarded timbers, scrap metal, and found objects are transformed into whimsical creations that provide garden focal points.

Painting demonstration & workshop -
(days and times to be announced shortly)

Crafts for kids -
An opportunity for children to try their hands at several craft projects at the Mapua Library.

Refreshments are available at the Hall and restaurants throughout Mapua and at the Wharf.
