On 13, 14 and 20 November 2011 parsley in your teeth will be socially acceptable as Aucklanders venture into a unique sensory experience for charity.

Three blind dining events are being held at the five-star Auckland waterfront restaurant Euro to raise money for cbm, an international aid organisation dedicated to working with persons with disabilities in the world’s poorest countries.

Euro is owned by the acclaimed New Zealand chef Simon Gault.

Diners will be blind folded on entry to Euro and will have no prior knowledge of the dishes or beverages on the menu. This is a dining experience of a lifetime designed to heighten the diner’s awareness of the meals flavours, texture and smells by removing the sense we rely on most.

cbm’s Child Sponsorship programme’s focus is on supporting and educating children living with a disability and poverty. The money raised from the charity event will go towards stopping disabled children’s needless suffering in countries such as Africa, Asia and South America.

Tickets are priced at $150.00 per person, which includes a full three course meal with matching wine for each course and a $50 donation to the charity.
