Author, commentator, Australia-phile and one of Britain's most successful stand-ups, Mark Watson comes to Auckland and Wellington with his most personal and critically acclaimed show to date.

In a trademark battle between his sharp wit and bashful insecurity, Watson plays out a series of modern social snarls with the aid of an unusually verbose PowerPoint screen.

Since his humble debut in 2006 Mark has been selling out to crowds across Australia and the United Kingdom. Back in his home town of London he’s hosted his own game show, We Need Answers, guest hosted Never Mind the Buzzcocks, published three books, performed three endurance 24hr shows, won numerous awards for stand-up and an installation at the Edinburgh Fringe, written a daily blog, accrued over 20,000 twitter followers, and unleashed his inner sportsnut in his new sports panel show, Mark Watson Kicks Off. Did we mention he is only 30?

As seen on Spicks and Specks, Rove, Good News Week, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (ABC), and too many Comedy Festival Galas to mention.

"One of the Times of London's 50 funniest people in Britain" - The Times (UK)

“Woody Allen and William Boyd have a bastard love child and this name is Mark Watson” - Stephen Fry

“His is the comedy of self doubt, everyday awkwardness... and small triumphs... served up with a warmth that is immediately inclusive... one of the most reliably funny shows you’ll find this year” - The Guardian, August 2010

“...his set is smart, bittersweet and rich with questions of all sizes” - The Telegraph (UK), August 2010

See Mark at the NZ International Comedy Festival in Auckland - SKYCITY Theatre and Wellington - San Francisco Bathhouse.
