The Aroha Music Society proudly presents the Jade String Quartet playing Mozart "Dissonance", Dvorak "American", and Bartok no.1.
A series of brilliant live concerts has won the Jade String Quartet many fans. Formed in 2003 by four Auckland Philharmonia (APO) players, the group play a wide repertoire, from the Baroque to highly original arrangements of modern music.
Eclectic violinist Miranda Adams (from Vivo and Bravura fame), is well-known throughout NZ as an exciting performer of dazzling virtuosity, and as the APO Associate Concertmaster. She is joined by fellow Kiwi William Hanfling (co-violin), Sub-Principal player in the APO; Robert Ashworth, prizewinning violist from Canada and Principal viola of the APO who is in much demand as a solo, chamber and orchestral player throughout NZ; and German born cellist Claudia Price who brings her international experience from London and Berlin to further enhance the group’s sound.
Tickets will be available at the door (or can be bought in advance from 'The Scullery' in Kerikeri).
Children are particularly welcome to attend, free of charge.
