First session: It's Your Life
Presented by Dave Stonyer

People are often surprised to discover how much their fears and phobias rule their lives. Our fears can slow us down and can even undermine our success. Dave's observations and own experiences will illustrate just how these self-limiting fears can be overcome to achieve greater success. In this presentation you will discover how simple changes can make dramatic differences in your own life.

Second session: Grasping The Art of Story Theatre
Presented by Olivia Mitchell & Tony Burns

Story Theatre is a story-telling method developed by American actor and professional speaker, Doug Stevenson (www.dougstevenson.com). It’s a collection of concepts and techniques that enables a speaker to not just tell the story – but to act the story out. The result is a more emotional, entertaining and memorial experience for the audience as they get to live the drama and humour of the story.

Trainers and speakers Tony Burns and Olivia Mitchell of www.effectivespeaking.co.nz have just returned from the US where they attended Doug’s two-and-a-half day Story Theatre Retreat in Colorado.

Doug has given them permission to run a special seminar for Wellington NSA so come to this session and learn:

the power of the “in” moment
how to use inner-monologue
making full use of your space
developing a “phrase that pays”
how to release your inner funny.

Evening round - up: Celebrating Success
A new aspect to our monthly meetings will be a brief ‘show and tell’....we are asking members to share success stories (little and large)... the MC will choose the top 3 success stories for the meeting... those individuals will be asked to give a brief intro covering:

What the success was
How you went about it,
What you learned from it,
Any ideas or suggestions for fellow members on how they could leverage

This is your opportunity for sharing your learnings, celebrating your successes and inspiring others! So don’t be shy!

Siobhan Hanley is our MC for the May meeting.. so please email her with your successes and we look forward to hearing all about it on May 19th.
