Students, parents, school staff, employers and interested community members are invited to an evening at the Landscape Architect Building, Lincoln University on Thursday 1st December to hear from workforce experts on the skills currently and predicted to be in short supply, and the job opportunities that will be available for future graduates.

The focus of the evening is about securing a future... for students in terms of their tertiary study and secure job opportunities after they graduate; for industry about knowing where their next line of employees will come from and what issues they may face in terms of economic recovery; and for the community as a whole as we look at what is currently being done and where the focus should be to secure a future for the region.

Attendees at the event will hear from speakers on workforce trends and predictions; experts within the University who are currently working in such areas as 'greening the rubble', risk and resilience, land impact studies, and social impacts; and CERA on the overall economic recovery in the region and its impact on the wider New Zealand economy. After the talk, employers, parents, local government, agencies, schools and prospective students will be able to ask questions and network with each other, the speakers and other University staff.
