Synopsis:
Bert (Chris Crickett), a retired carpenter, brings home a young, travelling stranger. After some initial trepidation, he and his wife, Maisy (Judith Robinson), take on a jaunty new lease of life and welcome Tom (Jason Lonsdale) into their home.

Their unconventional behaviour is regarded with horror by Maisy's niece, the homely and status-conscious Shona (Karen Carroll), and her up-and-coming insurance businessman husband, Grant (Dave Stearns).

This comedy play, which has touches of drama and pathos, is set in small town New Zealand in the 1960s.
