Part of the College of Creative Arts, Massey University's annual BLOW festival.
Blast is a week-long design seminar coordinated by Massey’s School of Design. This year Massey has partnered with Semi-Permanent, a world leading creative conference that focuses on design innovation. Blast provides a rare opportunity to interact with internationally renowned designers speaking at Semi-Permanent through a range of hands-on workshops and discussions.
This exciting week is introduced by David Kester, former Chief Executive of the British Design Council. David will talk about the power of design to transform, and how good design provides human-centred solutions to hard-to-solve problems. Can design act as the cure-all for the challenges of the 21st Century?
David is being brought to New Zealand by Massey University's College of Creative Arts, with support from the British Council; the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment; AUT School of Art and Design; and the Designers Institute of New Zealand.
