“…I was born in Geneva in 1971; the first 18 years of my life were fairly uneventful… Til I left school and discovered bourbon and Coke… My name is Brendhan Lovegrove, and this is my story.”

Star of TV2’s ‘A Night At The Classic”, seven times winner of NZ Best Guild Male Comic of the year, (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011), and arguably the most dangerously talented stand-up comedian in NZ, Brendhan Lovegrove presents a five-night season at The Q Theatre loft, from Tuesday 8th May – Sat 12th May 2012 as part of the NZ International Comedy Festival.

NZ’s bad boy of comedy comes clean on his first year of sobriety – delivering a rare glimpse into his past of booze, women and comedy through the eyes of a glass of orange juice – taking the biggest leap of his life without his wing man, bourbon and Coke. This 60-minute show is testament to this life-changing event – the brand new Lovegrove.

No stranger to the world of cutting-edge comedy, Lovegroves’ history spans 20 years – both on the national and international including four years of headlining the UK comedy circuit, The Edinburgh Comedy Festival, Lester Comedy Festival and the Sydney Comedy Festival as well as Rove appearances, Winner of the Billy T Award, Winner of The Fred Award (Top Award in NZ Comedy), Star of Pulp Comedy TV Series and the Star of ‘A Night At The Classic’ TV show now available on DVD, with Series Two screening later this year.
