New Zealand's first joint celebration of all things hot and hoppy. Chillies and Hops make natural bedfellows appealing as they do to people who enjoy extreme taste sensations.
Hallertau Brewbar is holding a party in their honour. Available on the day will be a tap take over with some of New Zealand’s hoppiest craft brews from Hallertau, Epic & Garage Project and a special collaboration brew from Fire Dragon Chillies and Liberty Brewing Co. Dragon’s Whaia 7% Golden Chilli Ale.
A unique opportunity to sample a wide variety of local and international Chilli beers. Fire Dragon Chillies will be on hand with their range of Northland produced Chilli Sauces. The brave and the bold can get involved in an officially sanctioned Chilli Eating Contest.
Chilli will be celebrated in all its forms, with Hakanoa’s Chilli & Lime Ginger Beer and a specially conceived spicy menu courtesy of Food Truck’s Michael Van de Elzen.
Fittingly, house band for the day will be Club Manouche with their brand of Gypsy jazz, influenced by ‘Hot Club de France’ originator Django Reinhardt.
