Crossfire by Michael Azama is a story of war atrocity. Stories would be more accurate, for it is a text which fearlessly interweaves time, place and generations in a language which leaps from poetic monologues of classic scope to sparse and quotidian dialogues. Crossfire might belong to the Brechtian rather than Aristotelian tradition, but it responds with a non-didactic and lyrical voice to the issues of war, conflict and ethnic division.

“We are not free and the sky can still fall on our heads… Theatre is made to teach us this”

From theatre and it double - Antonin Artaud.

Crossfire is the final performance of the UCOL Diploma in Performing Arts. Students are involved not only in the performance aspect of this production but also in the creation of the concept and making of the set, costume and publicity design.

Come along and celebrate with us the culmination of a very successful year of learning.
