A reiki charity event to raise funds for Hospice.

Anyone can come along, and whilst receiving a reiki therapy for yourself, you are simultaneously donating to a very worthy charity. Reiki can be purchased for $1 per minute with a minimum of a 15 minute session. The maximum session is one hour and it is advisable to book your slot in advance through Lily @ West Auckland Reiki & Massage 09-836-0676. Reiki will be given either whilst seated or whilst on a massage table. All proceeds will go to Hospice.

I will also donate 25% of my usual reiki session fee to Hospice for any future reiki sessions booked by anyone attending the charity event.

Hospice is not a building; it is a philosophy of care. The goal is to help people make the most of their lives.

Hospice care for the whole person, not just their physical needs but also their emotional, spiritual, and social needs too. They care for families and friends as well, both before and after a death. Irrespective of where they are, this philosophy of care does not change and everything. Everything they provide is free of charge.

They believe that hospice care should be available to anyone who needs it, helping people make the most of every moment, in whatever way works for them.

The services offered will differ from hospice to hospice but are likely to include:
- medical and nursing care;
- pain and symptom control;
- rehabilitation;
- therapies, including physiotherapy and complementary therapies;
- spiritual support;
- practical and financial advice;
- bereavement care.
