The NZ House & Garden Tours are coming to Kapiti Coast in 2012! This hugely successful fundraising event, now in its fourth year, gives you the chance to take a peek inside some of the region’s most spectacular homes and gardens, all in aid of two very special charities.

For the first time the Kapiti Coast will be hosting its very own NZ House & Garden Tour. The tour extends from Raumati to Manakau along this lovely coast and will open the doors on some of the coast’s most interesting, inspiring and iconic properties, many of which have never been opened to the public before. Stop for a delicious brown-bag lunch in Ruth Pretty’s kitchen garden at Te Horo. Picnic bags need to be pre-ordered and collected from the Kitchen Shop. Bags are $25 per person and you can book at

Kapiti Coast joins Auckland, Canterbury and Queenstown Lakes for the national NZ House & Garden Tours, which take place during March.

This unique fundraising event aims to raise more than $200,000 for The Cancer Society of New Zealand and Look Good Feel Better charities to help reduce the incidence and impact of cancer, as well as promote the confidence and well-being of women currently undergoing treatment. All proceeds received are being allocated to the six regional divisions of The Cancer Society of New Zealand and the regional branches of Look Good Feel Better, according to where the ticket purchasers live. This allows everyone who supports the event to help people affected by cancer in their own community.

Step inside the pages of NZ House & Garden this March, enjoy an outing with family and friends, be inspired and support two wonderful charities all in one very special day out.

Tour details and maps will be sent out approximately one week before the event.
