Wizard & Oz

Andrew Farrell (Wizard) and Dave McMillan (Oz) have been performing together for over 20 years with a repertoire of songs that range over jazz, blues, classical and contemporary.

Andrew grew up in the southern suburbs of Melbourne and started piano lessons at the age of eight. He studied classical music for many years and then, after hearing some boogie woogie music, thought that it might be fun to play… and then went on to play every style of music that appealed to him, giving him a wide and varied musical base.

Growing up in London, David was given a small guitar when he was four and discovered that it could not only be used as a cricket bat, but also to make music! David played solo guitar until he was fifteen and then found that he could sing as well. He started digesting all kinds of music and developed his soulful voice.

The two men met on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia, where they both were playing solo gigs. Discovering that their musical tastes were similar, they started performing together. They now travel all over Australia and New Zealand, amazing audiences with their musical synergy. With their interesting look, vast and diverse song list and passionate, soulful performances they are always a crowd favourite.

Andrew’s incredible piano prowess and Dave’s awesome guitar playing complement their rich, heartfelt voices. The Wizard and Oz have been entertaining audiences throughout Australasia for over 20 years, and are returning to Katikati some five years after their last memorable performance.

We are likely to have a full house for this show – don't miss out!
