'Naked Light: recent photograms and other camera-less photographs', examines images known as photograms, which are photographs made without a camera, by placing objects onto light-sensitive photographic paper and exposing them to various types of light. This produces a one-off unique image, as there is no negative or digital file from which to make further prints. In this sense ‘a photograph is an event transformed into an object. Rather than being a record of things, it is the fixing of light in space over time’, writes gallery director Paul McNamara.

The photographers include: Mark Adams & Areta Wilkinson, Andrew Beck, Joyce Campbell, Anne Ferran (Sydney), Katy Gundesen, Gavin Hipkins and Fiona Pardington.
