"Elling is the standout male vocalist of our time." - The New York Times.

"Since the mid-1990s, no singer in jazz has been as daring, dynamic or interesting as Kurt Elling. With his soaring vocal flights, his edgy lyrics and sense of being on a musical mission, he has come to embody the creative spirit in jazz." - The Washington Post

Grammy Award winner Kurt Elling is among the world's foremost jazz vocalists. Born and bred in Chicago he has been named "Male Vocalist of the Year" in the DownBeat Critics Poll for 12 years in a row! Every record he has made has been Grammy nominated earning him 9 nominations.

Elling's rich baritone spans four octaves and features both astonishing technical mastery and emotional depth. His command of rhythm, texture, phrasing, and dynamics is more like a virtuoso jazz instrumentalist than a vocalist. His repertoire includes original compositions and modern interpretations of standards, all of which are springboards for inspired improvisation, scatting, spoken word, and poetry.

Elling's latest offering features inspired interpretations of songs by The Beatles, Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, and Stevie Wonder.

Special guest Eric Marienthal is a superstar saxophonist. Headhunted by Chick Corea for his Elektric Band, he recorded 6 albums with Corea, two of them won Grammy awards. He also joined Lee Retineour's band for many recordings and world tours as well as performing with artists such as Elton John, Barbara Streisand, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick, Burt Bacharach, Aaron Neville, B.B. King, and many others.

This stand-out concert will be a musical firework not to be missed!
