Celebrated vocalist Hannah Griffin performs Norman Meehan's song settings of texts by some of Aotearoa/New Zealand's foremost poets. This concert will include new poems by Bill Manhire written specifically for Hannah to sing, along with texts by Hone Tuware, James K Baxter and David Mitchell.

Hannah will be accompanied by Norman on piano, Colin Hemmingsen on clarinet and saxophones, and several guests.

Fans will be familiar with the superb and evocative sound that Hannah and Norman create in an alchemical way. CDs include Buddhist Rain, and Making Baby Float, and the collaboration of these two with poet Bill Manhire will be extended into even more poignant territory later this year with These Rough Notes... look out for the concerts in Soundings Theatre, Te Papa on the first weekend in October.
