The repertoire includes compositions by saxophonists Ornette Coleman and Wayne Shorter, trumpeter Tomasz Stanko, drummer Paul Motian and original music by Norman Meehan.

This concert is part of the NZSM's Friday Lunchtime Concert series held each week during Trimesters 1 and 2. The concert venue alternates each week between the Adam Concert Room (ACR) on the Kelburn Campus, and the NZSM Concert Hall on the Mt Cook Campus. The concert is free and members of the public are welcome.

Te Kōkī, New Zealand School of Music is a joint enterprise of Massey University and Victoria University of Wellington.
