Peak to Powderkeg 2012

Come ski/board, run, cycle and skull a beer in the North Island's premier alpine triathlon, from the top of Turoa to the Powderhorn Chateau at the bottom of the Mountain Road! Get amongst it!

Sprint from the top of the Express to Big Bowl, ski/board from the top of Big Bowl down to the Base Area via marked runs (Big Bowl, Yahoo, Blythe Flat, Boneyard then Clarry's Track*), put your running shoes on and run from the Turoa base area down the Mountain Road to the 12.5 km mark, jump on your bike and keep going down the road until you get to town, pull off on Thames Street, drop your bike in the unload area, run to the end of the unload area, cross Thames Street in marked crossing zone, run back towards Mangawhero Tce/Mountain Road, follow barriers into the Powderkeg Plaza, scull a beer (non-alcoholic beverage for kids) and you're finished!

Categories are:
Youth Mens, Youth Womens, Youth Team, Open Mens, Open Womens and Open Team. All teams must include at least one female.

Price includes a complimentary BBQ after the event.

We have a total prize pool worth over $11,000! Winners in each category get season passes to Mount Ruapehu for the 2013 season as well as vouchers to be redeemed at the Powderhorn Chateau. We also have spot prizes galore so you have a pretty good chance of walking away with something!
