Poetry in Motion returns to Heaven Pizza with local poetry legend Lewis Scott, host of the popular Poetry at the Ballroom Cafe series. Lewis is an impressive performer not to be missed!

On the community stage we will have Reuben Todd, Mike Eager and Aaron Carter and one spot still open.

Come on down for your monthly fix of poetry and pizza! Oh, and they have some pretty awesome gelato too. Be there early for a good spot in the courtyard.

African American jazz poet and world traveller Lewis Scott was born in Cordele, Georgia (USA) and is now based in Wellington, Aotearoa/New Zealand. His poetry is underpinned by the sounds and cadences of the Black Church. He has performed in more than 50 countries, working with an array of poets and musicians in many settings. Lewis has had more than fifteen books of poetry and prose published and his work has also appeared in many literary journals and anthologies.
