Roman Rudnytsky has performed in about 95 countries, and in addition to performances in capital cities and important musical centres, he often plays in places away from the musical mainstream, bringing the world and pleasure of classical music to a wide range of audiences.

Born in New York into a prominent Ukrainian musical family, he began the study of piano at age 4. He eventually graduated from the Julliard School in New York, going on to take additional studies at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland, in Austria at the Mozarteum, and Italy.

Rudnytsky has won prizes in 10 piano competitions, including the International Leventritt and JS Bach competitions. including the International Leventritt and JS Bach competitions. To date, he has played over 45 different works for piano and orchestra, giving the British, Latin American and Australian premiere performances of the recently discovered Liszt Concerto No 3 in E Flat.

He also conducts master classes and workshops for local piano students and teachers during the course of his travels. Rudnytsky has been a member of the piano faculty of the Dana School of Music in Youngstown, Ohio, as well as the Indiana University School of Music and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory.
