We are proud to be screening SEWN (an acronym for south east west north). This is the title of the first New Zealand-made longboarding film in over a decade.

Longboarding is a surfing discipline using boards longer than 9 feet (2.84m). Longboarders are entrancing to watch as they literally seem to be walking on water. Directed and produced by award-winning French filmmaker and longboarder Nicolas Brikke, who has been based in New Zealand for more than five years, SEWN takes us south, east, west and north around the four stunning coasts of the North Island of New Zealand. Come on a surf trip, meet the people, connect with the land and experience longboarding!

Riverton will be the last stop after a film festival run around Aotearoa during 2011/2012.
