All you need to know about social media in just one day.

From the basics - understanding and working with Twitter, Facebook and mobile applications - to devising social media strategies that work alongside your public relations programmes and campaigns.

This highly popular session opens the digital toolbox for those who have little or no experience of life online, demystifying social media and exploring its potential for public relations and communication practitioners.

By the end of the session, delegates will understand the basics, how to operate the tools, how to manage them within their daily workload and how to plan an effective, measurable strategy that builds and sustains good digital relationships with your communities.

Facilitator: Catherine Arrow

Catherine Arrow has 30 years experience as a public relations practitioner, journalist and communicator to share. Prior to her arrival in New Zealand, she ran her own award-winning independent public relations consultancy, serving clients in both the private and public sector. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (UK) and one of the first UK Accredited Practitioners, Catherine also undertakes the design and provision of training and professional development programmes for PRiNZ professionals and others around the world working to improve their skills.
