Spooky Men invade Hawke's Bay.

You've heard them on the Summit beer ad. You've heard they're amazing! After single handedly redefining the world of male singing for a decade, the big, beautiful, ridiculous and hairy The Spooky Men's Chorale is playing Hawke's Bay. This will be the only concert in this region of their New Zealand tour.

From the Blue Mountains of NSW and led by Christchurch-born Stephen Taberner, the Spooky Men were originally inspired by the magnificent male choirs of Georgia but soon moved to sly and deadpan commentary on the male condition which has proved to be a massive hit amongst both those who suffer from it, and those who have to live with it.

Quirky humour and self-deprecation are at the centre of the Spooky Men's work on stage. They sing to impeccable musical standards.

Festival darlings in Australia, appearing regularly on ABC Radio and TV (Spicks and Specks, The Inventors). They have toured the UK four times with great success, appearing at all the large folk festivals as well as mid sized theatres and venues.

The Spooky Men have made 4 CDs, and sold in excess of 20,000 tickets. An evening with the Spooky Men will be sure to leave you emerging with a wry smile, a warm heart, and the uncanny feeling that you have just experienced something quite unlike anything else you've ever experienced.
