Reflections Art Gallery’s Summer Show brings together a variety of paintings, glass and ceramics by a selection of artists from home and away, North and South.

Colourful glass stories from the unlimited imagination of Golden Bay artist Aralyn Doiron feature in the foyer gallery space accompanied by adorable cast glass bunnies from Sharon Hall (Paekakariki) and a flutter of glass birds by design team Luke Jacomb and Katherine Rutecki (Auckland).

Award-winning local landscapes ‘From the Inside Out‘ by Jane Nicol sit alongside work from her ‘The Land Remembers’ series; thoughtful, cleverly layered images merging portraiture with scenery.

Energetic figurative paintings by Waiheke artist Ilya Volykhine contrast with the quiet layered anonymous crowds of Ruby Bay’s Lisa Chandler and the peaceful serenity of ‘Tianshi’ by Auckland artist Dalene Meiring.

Delightful differences in texture abound; Corroded by Nelson’s Tania Bostock appears flaking, rusted and time weathered, Opotiki artist Fiona Kerr Gedson contributes feathered ‘Pou Whirinaki’ framed pillars of iridescent pattern.

Upper Moutere ceramicist Katie Gold shows a selection of large sculptural vessels alongside a grouping of smaller wall bowls providing vibrant colour, relief pattern and iconic form.

Reflections Art Gallery is free to visit and is located in the heart of the World of WearableArt™ & Classic Cars Museum. The Summer Show can be viewed daily 10am-5pm with work sold replenished from our stock room.
