‘Tour de force’ – breaking the cycle of poverty
If you’re an Auckland business, school, club or group that enjoys cycling and doing something good for this world – NZ aid and development agency TEAR Fund is calling for you to enter the Poverty Cycle Challenge. The Poverty Cycle Challenge is a road relay race that pits teams of five against each other to complete five laps of a 20km circuit.
Aiming to raise over $200K for the world’s most vulnerable and at-risk children, all the funds raised will go towards our child trafficking prevention programs in Nepal and our Child Survival projects in India and Ethiopia.
For spectators, this event is going to be a fun, family-friendly day out with a designated family area including a children’s bouncy castle, face painting and sport games.
If you’re up for the challenge, keen to exercise your social responsibility or just want to come watch on the day - visit www.povertycycle.org.nz or call 0800 800777 for your free information pack.
