The Southland Arts Festival presents a Perth Theatre Company and Weeping Spoons Production,
The Adventures of Alvin Sputnik: Deep Sea Explorer.

Acclaimed seasons at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Dublin Fringe Festival; in South Korea, India and New Zealand.

Alvin Sputnik, a solitary explorer, journeys to the deepest depths of the sea. This touching story of enduring love and the end of the world imaginatively fuses animation, puppetry, projections and live and recorded music.

Master storyteller Tim Watts debuted Alvin at Perth’s Blue Room Theatre before presenting a highly successful season at the New York International Fringe Festival (rave reviews and Outstanding Solo Show award). Best Puppetry at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and Best Production at the Blue Room Awards are just two accolades that make this a guaranteed festival highlight.

The show is recommended for those aged 8 and above. Check it out on YouTube!

"Alvin Sputnik…an endearing Australian solo show told in stick-figure animation and puppetry...akin to a theatrical Wall-E." - The New York Times

"Alvin Sputnik is a fantastic show that deserves full houses. Myself – and my 8 year old daughters – were entranced by this piece from start to finish." - Vanessa Byrnes, Theatreview, 30 Oct 2011
