Come and hear Shaun Hendy, winner of the 2012 Prime Minister’s Science Media Communication Prize, discuss the implications of his new book, "Get off the Grass", for New Zealand’s economy.

Kiwis work harder but earn less than almost any other people in the developed world. Why is this? What are Kiwis doing wrong? Shaun Hendy tells New Zealander we need to get off the grass – and explains how we might do so.

"Get off the Grass" argues that to grow our New Zealand economy we must build nationwide communities of innovators, entrepreneurs and businesses. we must diversify our economy beyond the primary sector.

Can New Zealand learn to innovate like a city of four million people? Can New Zealand become a place where talent wants to live? Can we learn to live off knowledge rather than nature?

Organisers of the NZ Institute of Physics 2013 Conference have kindly agreed to allow members of the public to attend Shaun's conference talk.

RSVPs essential.
