Dark Horse Productions presents Bus Stop.

Written by Samuel Christopher, Anoushka Klaus & Jess Sayer.

TAPAC joins with recent graduates of The Actors' Program to bring to life the exciting debut of new theatre company Dark Horse Productions, as part of the 2013 Auckland Fringe Festival.

Multi-award winning actor Scott Wills will make his directorial debut with an ensemble play charting the lives that pass through a Grey Lynn bus stop. Zac is gone for good. Letty is running away from home. Margaret re-claims her territory as resident prostitute. Wiremu and Lisa escape a disappointing funeral without catering. Ben tries his best to hold Sylvia together. And Jeanette is confronted by a past and a husband who have left her wounded.

Bus stop is an entertaining drama exploring of the ripple effect from one person’s actions through a Kiwi community. With theatre veteran Wills at the helm, “Bus Stop” creates an atmospheric environment filled with sharp dialogue, music and hard truths told to share the journey of these intertwined lives.

The writers (Christopher, Klaus & Sayer) have been personally moved by youth suicide and "Bus Stop" is being developed to potentially tour high schools to bring awareness to youth suicide and the effects it has on those left behind in the wake of death.

“Bus Stop” is proudly supported by Youthline and Lifeline, with a portion of proceeds from the play going back to these organisations to assist with those in vulnerable moments who need someone to talk to.

R15 for now - contains course language.

Duration: 60 mins.
