The Annual concert for the NZ Gaidhealtachd (pron gaeltark) summer school will be held on 7th January 2013 at Taurikura Beach Hall Whangarei Heads at 7pm

The annual summer school attracts international tutors in traditional arts from all the Celtic Nations.

This year the concert will include our main music tutors and various guests:
Helen Webby is the principal harpist with the Christchurch symphony, and is also a renowned traditional Celtic musician. Born and raised in Whangarei, she has travelled extensively and has several recordings to her name.

Gregor Borland is a professional Scottish Fiddler who can trace his music education in a direct line back to the infamous Neil Gow. He is much sought after as a tutor, judge and solo performer. His music can move you to tears or to dance and a live performance is one not to be missed

Adam Ogle is an emerging musician from Whangarei who has enthralled us with his talent for several years at the Summer School. He makes his debut as a tutor and will be performing at the Auckland Folk Festival in January.
