Kerryn Fields and Chanelle Davis met at a Hamilton Café when both of the artists were at the beginning of their music careers - Fields with her distinctive folk/blues and Davis on the piano with a collection of sweet pop and jazz songs.

The two solo singer/songwriters reunited in Melbourne where Kerryn Fields has been carving an impressive name for herself, Chanelle making the move to Australia’s music capital after returning from a whirlwind journey recording in Nashville and writing music across the world.

Chanelle Davis is a New Zealand singer/songwriter currently based in Melbourne. She has released two solo albums - ‘Better Than Alone’ in 2006 and ‘Since Yesterday’ in 2008. Since yesterday features the song ‘Dear Jon’ which won the 2007 New Zealand Songwriters’ Trust Award, judged by songwriter Don McGlashan.

In 2009/2010 Chanelle travelled around Australia, Canada and America collecting inspiration for her upcoming 3rd album. She also studied in Boston with author of Writing Better Lyrics - Pat Pattison.

The songs that pour from her are predominantly piano-driven, but on a cold winter’s evening you’ll find Chanelle curled up in bed with an acoustic guitar. Her lyrics are fresh and well crafted - yet sound conversational and timeless. Her influences include Rickie Lee Jones, Leonard Cohen, Jewel and Carole King.

Kerryn Fields is a phenomenal talent with a voice like no other. An exceptional feel for the guitar, deeply moving songs, and an intoxicating presence has cemented her place in both Australian and New Zealand music.

Nestled amongst country & blues, she is a woman with a radiant presence and a personality that embraces audiences with warmth, humor and enchanting confidence.

Bringing the guitar to life with emotive licks and a distinctive picking style, it’s evident in Kerryn Fields rich timbre that Janis Joplin, Toni Childs and Tracy Chapman have influenced this unique and captivating voice.

Complimented with huge doses of kiwi humour, Chanelle Davis and Kerryn Fields are two exceptional musicians who instantly make their audience feel like their spending time with good friends.
