Four Additional Performances Added
‘Murder, Greed, Corruption, Violence, Exploitation, Adultery, Treachery...all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts' - so begins Chicago, one of the most phenomenal musicals of our times.
Ambitious chorus girl Roxie Hart is in prison for murdering her lover and trying to pin it on her hapless husband Amos. She meets Velma Kelly, a headline star and also a murderess. The two characters team up to form an unusual nightclub act, which they hope will keep them in the public eye. Desperate for fame, fortune and freedom, the women enlist the help of sleazy lawyer Billy Flynn. Both women will be hanged for their crimes if they lose their cases and are prepared to go to any lengths to escape execution.
Chicago has everything that makes Broadway great: a universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz; one show-stopping song after another; and the most astonishing dancing you've ever seen.
No wonder Chicago has been honoured with 6 Tony Awards, 2 Olivier Awards, a Grammy and thousands of standing ovations.
