The New Zealand Guitar Quartet came together in 2011 and has performed to enthusiastic reviews throughout NZ since. Owen Moriarty, Christopher Hill and Tim Watanabe each graduated from Schools of Music in Wellington before furthering their guitar and liberal arts interests in California, Spain and Wellington (respectively). In 2010 Jane Curry completed a doctorate from University of Arizona and is now Head of Classical Guitar Studies at the NZ School of Music.
